ADMISSION
REQUIREMENT
The Department of Business Administration offers a program of
study leading to the degree of Bachelor of Business Administration
(Hons). The department seeks to equip students with the necessary
technical skills and Islamic values for the business world. Undergraduate
courses offered by the department provide conceptual, technical,
interpersonal and communicational skills that are required in
the business environment. The courses are generally designed to
achieve the following objectives:

produce competent business graduates imbued with Islamic
values at entry level for public and private organizations
at lower or middle management level. |

LEARNING
OUTCOMES FOR THE BACHELOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION PROGRAM
The
Department, after having imparted the pertinent knowledge, skills
and ability (KSA) to students, place high emphasis that such KSAs
are utilized in the best possible manner in students’ career
pursuits. Such KSAs will be displayed in the areas that they have
been exposed to, such as the management of critical resources,
leadership, communication, analysis, problem solving and decision
making in the most ethical manner.
At the end
of the program, the graduates will be able to:
1. Apply the
principles of management in business activities,
2. Identify and take advantage of business opportunities locally
and globally,
3. Apply and use ICT in business environments,
4. Apply the relevant tools and techniques in major functional
areas of business,
5. Demonstrate conduct that is consistent with business ethics
and local culture.

ENTRY
REQUIREMENT
The admission
of students into the Bachelor of Business Administration program
is based on the following minimum requirements:
1. A CGPA of 2.0
2. Completion of the following eight required Kulliyyah core courses
with a minimum CGPA of 2.0

PRACTICAL
TRAINING
The
practical training is arranged with relevant institutions for
a period of 14 weeks for the student when he/she enters the third
year (Level 2) in the program or after completes the department
required courses. A written report is submitted by the student
to the department, and the training is noted on the student’s
official transcript as `0’ credit hours of work. A pass
or fail grade is given.

Students
graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration have broad
career prospects in the fields of Insurance, Stock Broking, Banks
and other related fields. These include being Assistant Managers,
Operations Executives, Claims Executives, Evaluators, Investment
Analysts, Financial Analysts, Remisers, Corporate Banking Executives,
Corporate Finance Executives, Money-market Executives, Retailing
