The other two required courses are: Quantitative Research Methods and Qualitative Research for Accounting and Management. As for the remaining 3 credit hours of course work, students will be given the option of choosing one from the following two courses: i). Economic Theory and ii). Seminar in Contemporary Issues in Management.

The assessments of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration will be in accordance to the university’s postgraduate coursework evaluation policies. PhD students are also required to prepare a research proposal and to defend in open presentation. The research proposal must be approved by the Kulliyyah Postgraduate Committee (KPGC) before the students are allowed to register for their research. Upon approval of the research proposal, students will then register for thesis. In the course of writing the thesis, the students are required to follow the university’s postgraduate policies and procedures on research work.

Upon successful completion and submission of their thesis to the university, the students are required to present and defend their thesis in a viva voce. The students’ thesis will be assessed and examined by internal and external examiners. The viva will determine whether the students will be awarded the Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration (PhD in Business Administration) or otherwise.
